Approach
Facilitated planning sessions with the Chief Information Officers of the member airlines and a working group they chartered
Results
Selected an architecture utilizing a middleware layer for communication between members, allowing maintenance of existing systems and processes, and avoiding retraining of staff
Achieved executive alignment across the partner organizations' many differences in company strategies, company cultures, country cultures, and functional cultures
Identified need for dedicated information technology resources to manage the development and operation of joint systems, and designed and helped implement the new information technology organization
