Russell H. Heil - Senior Advisor


Mr. Heil has been engaged in the management and assessment of aviation programs involving manufacturing, MRO, part repair and distribution, and new aircraft certification since his retirement as Senior Vice President from Delta Air Lines, Inc. in 1995. He has served a variety of clients working either as a consultant or employee at the CEO/Senior Manger level.


As Senior Vice President-Technical Operations for Delta from 1991 to 1995, Mr. Heil directed the worldwide engineering, maintenance, quality control, and material services functions to support the Delta aircraft fleet – a one billion dollar per year, ten thousand plus workforce. He oversaw the successful introduction into service of A310 and MD-90 aircraft into the Delta fleet and lead efforts to reduce operating costs by reducing turn times for airframe heavy maintenance checks, engine overhaul, and repairable parts.

 

Mr. Heil serves on the Board of Advisors for the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, and has served as Board Member of Atlantic Southeast Airlines.  He has a BS in Aerospace Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Georgia State University.
