Approach
- Facilitated planning sessions with the Chief Information Officers of the member airlines and a working group they chartered
Results
- Selected an architecture utilizing a middleware layer for communication between members, allowing maintenance of existing systems and processes, and avoiding retraining of staff
- Achieved executive alignment across the partner organizations' many differences in company strategies, company cultures, country cultures, and functional cultures
- Identified need for dedicated information technology resources to manage the development and operation of joint systems, and designed and helped implement the new information technology organization
