



Challenge
This logistics center - the worldwide manager for a wide range of aircraft, engines, missiles, software and avionics and accessories components - was looking to reduce cycle times and increase inventory flow across its supply chain
Transform was contracted to simulate key areas of the overall supply chain - utilizing Lean Six Sigma methods - for the purpose of identifying areas of improvement opportunity
Approach
Utilizing iGrafx's software for Six Sigma and Enterprise Modeling, Transform was able to integrate the principles of Lean and Six Sigma into the actual simulation
This enabled the team to focus on the highest areas of process risk and derive measurable value for improvements
Results
Transform delivered a ground-level simulation of the targeted supply chain areas, identifying non-value add process steps, areas of risk, and recommendations for improvement based on the principles of Lean process and Six Sigma quality
The logistics center was able to develop improvement plans from an enterprise view of the supply chain and its variable interactions
